Jeff Phillips
Jeff’s journey as a writer is a fluid, winding narrative that stretches from coast to coast. From his birthplace in Walt Whitman’s New Jersey, through his formative years growing up in a movie theater in Los Angeles, to his twenty-five years as a working writer-producer in film/TV.
He is a twelve-time produced feature screenwriter, has written and developed several projects for television, worked with most of the Hollywood major studios and networks, and is a member of the Writers Guild of America.
In grad school, he studied creative writing under the world renowned fantasy authors, James Blaylock and Tim Powers. In 2010, Jeff’s feature film @urFRENZ, premiered at the prestigious Slamdance Film Festival before finding a home at Warner Bros.
His graphic novel Houdini: The Man from Beyond for Image Comics is currently in development as a motion picture. He likens his odyssey to Captain Willard’s quest up the Nùng River to find Kurtz. Except not quite as dark and with considerably less bloodshed.
When he’s not writing, he devotes most of his time to his family: his wife and five children. And his cat, Fargo.
